What is a resume parser API?

A resume parser API reads a resume or CV file and returns its contents as structured data. Parsinga takes a PDF, DOC or DOCX file and returns JSON with the candidate’s contact details, work history, education and skills, ready to save in an ATS or database.

How much does the resume parser API cost?

$0.08 per resume for 1 – 25,000, $0.07 per resume for 25,001 – 100,000, $0.06 per resume for 100,001 and above. Every new account gets 100 free parses. There is no monthly plan or minimum, failed parses are not charged, and usage is billed monthly by card.

Which file formats and languages are supported?

PDF, DOC and DOCX resumes in any language, including single and multi-column layouts, tables and scanned PDFs.

How fast is it?

A typical resume is parsed in under two seconds. For large volumes you can send files in parallel or use batch upload.

How accurate is the resume parser?

Every parser is validated by our team on real resumes before it ships, and we keep refining it on edge cases such as unusual layouts, non-English names and missing fields.

Do you store resumes or use them to train AI models?

No. Parsinga follows a Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy: resumes are not stored once parsing is complete, and your data is never used to train LLM models.

How do I connect it to my ATS?

Send each resume to the REST endpoint and map the JSON fields to your ATS or HRIS. Webhooks and batch upload are available for high volumes, and the API reference has cURL, Python and Node.js examples.
